Your to-do lists. Your dreams from last night. Your aspirations for the new year. Your frustrations from the day. Your wildest hopes. Your deepest fears. Your silly doodles. Your notes from school. A journal can hold so much of our lives and carry immense meaning.
I can never have too many journals. Even if I'm sure I have enough, it'll never stop me from buying another. The thrill of filling in a new journal with so many possibilities can't be outmatched.
To be honest, I never imagined that I would create journals, mainly because it never occurred to me that we could incorporate block printing into them. However, during my last visit to India at a block printing workshop, I noticed piles of deadstock—prints from sampling and production that were never used due to being rejected. Even though they weren't our prints, it was disheartening to see such beautiful fabric just sitting there; hours of work and so many materials spent creating something that had nowhere to go.

Thus, the journals were born. Constructed from deadstock block-printed fabric, we've found a new purpose and home for the fabric that was left behind. We hope that these journals serve not only as a space for you to explore your thoughts and vent freely, but also as a beautiful piece of art that can add color and charm to your nightstand or desk at work. Because, why should journals be boring? What’s inside surely isn’t.
And yes, what you see in the picture above is also a tote bag. Because like journals, one can never have too many totes. Both coming soon...stay tuned!
